Kryptex is two different things, and the difference matters. The Kryptex app is an easy Windows miner: it mines in the background, converts what you earn to Bitcoin, and keeps it in a Kryptex balance that you withdraw from. Kryptex Pool is a mining pool: point a command-line miner at it and it can pay your own wallet directly, without an account.
Pasiv sits between the two. It's a one-button desktop app like the Kryptex app, but non-custodial like the pool. You paste your own address, and the pool pays that address in the coin you mined. Pasiv never holds a balance, and there's no account.

The honest bit: if you want to be paid in Bitcoin, or cash out through a single service, the Kryptex app does that conversion for you, and it's a fair choice. Pasiv won't convert anything; it pays the coin you mine to the address you give it. If you're comfortable at a command line, Kryptex Pool with a miner such as SRBMiner-Multi is non-custodial too.
Pearl (PRL) specifically
Pearl is where most people meet Kryptex, because its pool and its own miner were early to support it.
